Available Litters

We have our newest litter (Rhett x Lucy) planned for Spring 2026. These puppies are expected to be born late March and go home in late May. See below for application and sales contract.

Lucy has passed her necessary health/genetic clearances and we are set to breed her to a renowned champion stud, GCH CH BISS Lakewood’s Rhett Butler @ Kestrel Farm South RN MH WCX DDHF OS CCA, a lovely male out of Florida! Rhett is widely known for his pleasant and eager personality, beautiful conformation and well rounded nature both in the ring and at home. He is 68lbs with a broad head, strong topline, and correct coat. He continues to have excellent health clearances and produces consistent offspring well, even as he ages. Please click the link for Rhett’s pedigree and health clearances:

We expect these puppies to have a variety of medium golden shades (nothing too blonde most likely), broad heads and frames, plus easy going temperaments that thrive in family activity or “just hanging around”. They will be within height standard and weigh about 70 pounds when mature. See to your right for Rhett photos and see more of Lucy on “Our Goldens” page. We can’t wait to see this litter grow out!

Rhett thrives in the water and at home as a beloved family pet.

Thank you for choosing Calvary Goldens for the newest addition to your family!

Our dogs and puppies are home raised on our small family farm and will be well socialized to adults, children, other animals, sights and sounds. They are raised in our personal home and do not live in an outdoor kennel. Prior to going to their new homes, all puppies receive age appropriate vaccinations & deworming, a microchip, and a physical examination by a licensed veterinarian. Both parents of any given litter are tested and cleared for hips, elbows, eye and heart soundness in addition to genetic screening for heritable diseases common to this breed. Parents are genetically matched to not be closely related or pass on any genetic abnormalities that manifest in disease as your puppy matures.

We are committed to your family and our puppies for their lifetime. After you bring your puppy home, you will have free access to ask any questions you have for the lifetime of your dog.

Please contact us with any questions and see above for the puppy application/sales contract.

Puppy Purchasing Process & How We Raise our Dogs

Bringing a puppy into your home is a big investment! We ask that you consider the commitment required for bringing a dog into your home before applying. As much joy that there is to having a canine companion, they are not without work. Think about things like regular expenses (food, medical care, etc…), training, exercise, and why you are wanting a Golden Retriever at this time. Having unity for everyone involved in caring for the puppy will help lower the amount of unmet expectations after the fact.

Sometimes getting the right puppy for your family can mean waiting a long time - even a year! We want our litters to be fully spoken for before birth so we welcome you to apply early. We can assure you the wait is well worth it!

You can expect regular emails and social media posts regarding the pregnancy/litter as you wait and see their journey from the womb to your home! See our social media page for how to stay in touch that way.

All of our puppies will go through ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) from days 3-16. This is a way to give them a critical neurological basis for adapting to normal environmental change, that is shown to help reduce stress hormone spikes as they engage this new world around them.

Additionally, puppies will go through a puppy culture process (Empowered Puppy Program, https://empoweredpuppyschool.com/) and be very well exposed to various people (especially children), household sounds (such as vacuuming or recorded thunder/fireworks noises), new surface textures, physical handling and simple bathing/grooming practices, and more! We want them to be as well rounded as they can before leaving our home and entering yours. Every puppy is evaluated and handled daily to ensure their health and notes taken on the personalities as the temperaments begin to come out to help us pair them with the best family.

Finally, at 8 weeks of age, puppies are ready to become yours! They will be fully weaned and have gotten the maximum benefit from their time with their litter mates and mother, opening up the best timeframe to bond with their new pack, your family! Your puppy comes home with a canvas tote bag filled with the following:

  • a copy of their Health Certificate by a licensed veterinarian

  • updated medical records

  • microchip number and registration information

  • (limited) AKC registration papers

  • a copy of the sales contract and payment receipt

  • a toy with the scent of their mother and littermates

  • personality assessment

  • a week’s worth of food (This is to aid in adjusting to a new diet if you purchase a different food than what we use.)

We seek to be as transparent as possible when it comes to our breeding management, puppies, and practices. We are more than willing to provide pedigrees, AKC registration papers, vet records, licensing or other appropriate documentation for our dogs and puppies prior to purchase if you desire.

Cost

The total cost for a puppy (limited AKC registration) from us is $3500. After approval on both your application and a secondary interview via phone/zoom or in person depending on your location, you will be added to our waitlist. We ask for an initial $500 deposit when the puppies are born to hold your place for a given litter. This deposit is non-refundable. The remaining $3000 is due when the puppies are 7 weeks old, the week before they go home.

In the event something changes in your family after being added to the waitlist and deposit payment, you are welcome to transfer it to another litter, but it will remain non-refundable. You of course would not owe the remaining $3000 for the puppy.

Because we are committed to our dogs and your family, we have a contract that is mutually signed to ensure the best life for our dogs after leaving our home.

You can find a link to the puppy application and our sales contract above under the AVAILABLE LITTERS section on this same page.
